The Comer Dreefzicht is located in the historic Dreefzicht building at the edge of Haarlemmerhout Park in Haarlem – the oldest city park in the Netherlands. Built in 1840 by architect Jan David Zocher Jr., it originally served as a social club for the literary society Trou moet Blycken. Over the years, the building has hosted various hospitality ventures, including a Van der Valk restaurant and later a La Place.
Following its renovation and expansion, the national heritage site (Rijksmonument) Dreefzicht now features 250 indoor seats, a covered and heated terrace with an additional 250 seats, eight meeting rooms, and a conference room – providing ample space for guests to enjoy and connect.
For this project 160 pieces of X-fix C were used. In total Hasslacher group supplied 51 m³ of cross-laminated timber (CLT) in industrial visual quality and around 20 m³ of glued laminated timber with visual quality which were produced at the group’s sites in Stall (NORITEC Holzindustrie) and Magdeburg (NORDLAM). 42 tonnes of CO₂ were absorbed from the atmosphere by the wood mass during its growth.
